T.O.U.C.H.

The churches of the Orleans area, under the auspices of the Orleans Area Ministerial Association, invite students of Orleans Community Schools to participate in a released-time program we call “TOUCH” which stands for “Transforming Others Under Christ’s Hand.”  It is a program that provides religious and moral teaching based on the Bible, meeting once a month for one hour.  The children are released from the school and taken by a privately-contracted school bus, operated by a properly-licensed driver, and taken to one of the four Orleans area churches that are within minutes of the school (Orleans Christian Church, Orleans United Methodist Church, and Orleans First Baptist Church).

Community Events

--We host the Orleans Community Egg Hunt each year on the Orleans Town Square.  Kids from our community were released to collect over 10,000 eggs in 2023!  Many prizes were handed out as well.

--We participate in the local Dogwood Festival by providing a variety of services to festival goers.  We have previously hosted the Quilt Show, Silent Auction, Chili Cook-off, and more!  Follow the            page for all that Orleans has to offer during this annual festival!

--We offer a huge Trunk-or-Treat as a safe environment for local families to bring their children.

--We host the area-wide food bank on the 2nd Thursday each month.  All items are provided by Hoosier Hill Food Bank from 1 pm to 3 pm.
